Counseling

What resources are available to students?

Each Yorktown student is assigned a counselor before they start school. This counselor remains with the student all four years at Yorktown. Students will be seen in group settings and individually by their counselor.

Any student can make an appointment to see their counselor by coming to the counseling office. If the counselor is unavailable, the student is encouraged to leave a note and the counselor will follow up.

The counselor is also available to assist in determining what available support systems may be appropriate for your child. Feel free to contact your child’s counselor by phone, or email, if you have any concerns.

Counselors assist students in the college application process.

Encourage your child to get to know his/her counselor.

See the Counseling section for more information.
