What is the Center for Leadership & Public Service?
The Center is a resource for the organization and development of public service and student leadership at Yorktown. The Center, located in Room 223, promotes student self-awareness, awareness of, and interest in others, and increases opportunities for community engagement.
The Center maintains partnerships with NOVAM to train HIV/AID peer educators, YMCA’s Model General Assembly, and VEST, which trains students to educate the community about emergency preparedness.
The Center’s webpages have information about opportunities for community service. The Leadership Center room is also available for club meetings and is the site for information about the Senior Experience Program.
