Minority Achievement

What are some Minority Achievement Programs?

The Minority Achievement Coordinator manages the school’s initiative to work with minority students here at Yorktown High School.

Programs include S.O.A.R. (Success, Opportunity and Results), MSAN (Minority Student Achievement Network), Sister Circle, LLT (Latinas Leading Tomorrow), College Bound, and Early Identification Program partnership with George Mason University.

Help is available to students with the college application process, scholarship and financial aid process, and assistance with academic concerns. Each year, the Minority Achievement Program takes students to visit colleges, attend leadership conferences, and helps find enrichment opportunities for students.
