StudentVUE
StudentVUE is a mobile app that allows students to stay connected to Synergy, Arlington Public Schools’ student information system. It provides access to important information such as grades. While StudentVUE and ParentVUE may appear similar, they are distinct platforms, and students should exclusively use StudentVUE.
Accessing StudentVUE Through MyAccess
To access StudentVUE, follow these steps:
- Go to MyAccess at https://myaccess.apsva.us.
- Log in with your APS credentials:
- Student ID (SID): ___
- Password (PW): ___
- Click on the StudentVUE icon.
- When prompted, select “I am a student” (not “I am a parent”).
You can now access StudentVUE to view your grades and other academic information.
Accessing YouTube
Yorktown High School does not directly control the filters applied to YouTube; these are managed externally. However, there are a few important guidelines to help students connect successfully. You must use your APS Google Apps for Education Account (MyAccess@APS) to access YouTube, and you need to be connected to the APS Wi-Fi network while at school. Make sure you are logged into your APS Google Account only, as being signed into personal Gmail accounts can interfere with access. If specific videos, channels, or parts of YouTube are blocked, this is due to external filters. In such cases, teachers can submit a request to have the issue reviewed further.
