  • With nearly 100 members, the marching band is one of Yorktown’s largest groups, and it’s not just for members of the band. If you play piano and are interested in getting involved with next year’s marching program, see Mr. Bersh in room 177. The Color Guard has open house rehearsals today from 3:15 – 4:45 pm and May 23, 6 – 8 pm.  Meet in room 174. Color guard is the part of the band that does dance, choreography, and learns to spin flags and rifles – newcomers are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. See Mr. Bersh with any questions.

  • Minority Leaders United is hosting the co-ed Student-Staff basketball game on May 23rd. If you’re interested in playing and are not a member of a Yorktown basketball team, sign-ups are available outside the Leadership Center. If you’d like one of your teachers to participate, you can ask them to talk to Ms. Benites in the Leadership Center. Attendance is free and concessions will be available. See you there!

  • Are you interested in being “The Voice of Yorktown” for the 2019-2020 school year and reading the Pledge and announcements over the PA each morning?? If so, contact Mr. Sheppard by the end of the day tomorrow to be considered for this position.

  • Tonight at Yorktown, come out and support Boys Soccer as they host Stonewall Jackson in the Regional Tournament quarterfinals.
