Overnight Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons margarine
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup sour cream
Streusel Topping
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Method of Preparation
- Grease the bottom of an 8 inch square pan.
- Cream together sugar, brown sugar and butter. Add the egg.
- Add dry ingredients to creamed butter and sugar mixture.
- Stir in sour cream.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Mix together the topping of brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle on top of batter.
- Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator.
- When ready to bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until coffee cake tests done.
