Objectives of Course Students in the Health program will be provided with the skills necessary to live longer, healthier lives and to take positive action to ensure their health and wellness now and in the future. Students will be exposed to a variety of activities – both team and individual sports – the emphasis of which will be lifetime activities. Students will develop an understanding of and appreciation for the roles physical fitness and sports play in the promotion of positive relationships with others, improved self-esteem and confidence, and an overall healthier lifestyle.

  B+  87 – 89
  B     80 – 86
  C+   77 – 79
  C    70 – 76
  D+  67 – 69
  D   60 – 66
  E      0 – 59

 An “A” means that you are performing in a superior manner for this course, well above average in preparation, participation, effort, and cooperation. Quarterly grades round up when percentage is .5 or higher. Final grades round up when percentage is .75 or higher.   Final exam will be cumulative- including both Health and P.E. standards, and worth 10% of students’ final grade.
