Students in every subject area require the use of these supplies throughout the year. Additional supplies may be requested by the teacher.


Art

Family Consumer Science

Health

HILT

Mathematics

  • Graph paper

  • Graphing calculator and four (4) AAA batteries
    • If the student is enrolled in geometry, students should purchase a graphing calculator or scientific calculator. If a student wishes to buy a calculator, the recommended calculators allowed on all SOL tests and AP Exams are:
      Texas Instruments TI-83, TI-83+, TI-84, or TI-84+.
    • If enrolled in algebra 1, AFDA or algebra 2, calculators can be loaned.   Students must provide their own batteries.

Music

Band

Music Theory

Physical Education

  • PE and Elective PE

  • PE uniform
    • Students will purchase the uniform from YHS the first week of school. (Uniforms range between $15 – $20)

Science

  • Pocket folder (optional)

  • Calculator
    • If the student is enrolled in Physics, the calculator should include trigonometric functions. Graphing is helpful, but not necessary.
    • If the student is enrolled in Chemistry, the calculator should include logarithmic and exponential functions
  •  AP Chemistry and AP Physics will have special lab notebooks that will be available for purchase from YHS in the fall.

Social Studies

  • Flash drive (at least 1GB)
  • 3-ring binder
  • Dividers (for a 3-ring binder)

World Language
