College and Career Exploratory

Naviance Available to all APS students, Naviance can help start the career exploration and streamline the application process. There are tools to help you understand career choices based on your values and interests. These include Strengths Explorer, Career Interest Profiler, Career Clusters, Career Explorer, Productivity Assessment, Personality  Assessment, and Resume Builder.  You can review and compare hundreds of US colleges and many international schools profiles’ average test scores, GPA, majors and interests to your academic profile.

Opportunity Guide (Virginia Edition; Spanish Version, English Version) This guide provides students and families with important information and tools to guide their pursuit of postsecondary education.

Opportunity Guide for Career and Technical Education (Spanish pdf, English pdf) Educational programs that provide students with the technical and professional skills to succeed in the workplace and throughout their career.

Common Application’s Explore Colleges With over 900 colleges/universities, Common App, helps streamline the admissions process. This exploratory tool can narrow down interests based off of location, school size, financial aid, enrollment, specialized mission, and more.

GradReports  Want to compare salaries with degree types from top universities? GradReports is a data driven site to compare alumni median salary after graduation. This site includes reviews, rankings and earning potential.
