–Critical Reading, Critical Writing and Critical Thinking–

English 11 will be a chronological survey of American literature and its common themes.  We will also focus on persuasive writing.

English 11AP will be a study of rhetoric.  We have an overarching question for the year: How do writers/speakers use language to shape meaning?
