Debate & Forensics (VHSL)

Debate and Forensics offers training in research, analysis, sound argument, quick thinking and effective extemporaneous speaking. The Yorktown High School team competes in the Washington-Arlington Catholic Forensic League (WACFL), a division of the National Catholic Forensic League, and in the Liberty District of the North Region of the Virginia High School League (VHSL).

The Yorktown Debate and Forensics Team is one of the most prominent programs in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Washington Metropolitan Area. The team has a long history and a tradition of excellence spanning more than 40 years. It has won various National, State, Regional, and District/Conference titles. In addition, the team has received recognition from the Virginia General Assembly (HJ5057 (Links to an external site.)) and Arlington County.
