Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a state and national organization of students focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader. The goals of the Yorktown FCCLA are to help members improve personal, family and community living, to contribute to career preparation and successful life skills, and to develop leadership ability.
FCCLA meets for crafts sessions, service projects and fund raising. Volunteers are needed for special presentations and to accompany the group on field trips.The Yorktown FCCLA is open to all students who have taken or are taking a course in the Family and Consumer Science (FACS) department. A student can join in the eighth grade.
