Genetics Club

The Genetics Club is modeled after GIDAS which is a high school branch of the nonprofit research organization miRcore, supporting its mission to democratize medical research. Members learn computational biology, genetics, and diseases; participate in an annual Genes and Health contest based on the knowledge of genomics and diseases; write a research paper on a disease of focus and present it at a research conference or science fair; and fundraise for microgrants to innovative researchers.
